- FG Approved 300 Jobs for Presidential Council Later Declared ‘Non-existent’
- Approval came months before the Presidency disowned the council.
- Adeyemi is facing criminal charges over alleged forgery and impersonation.
Fresh documents have revealed that the Federal Government approved a recruitment waiver for the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) to employ 300 personnel in August 2025, months before the Presidency disowned the agency and accused its alleged Director-General, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, of forgery and impersonation.
The approval was conveyed in a letter dated August 7, 2025, and signed by the Director of Organisation Design and Development in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mimi Abu.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the waiver was granted because of the Federal Government’s embargo on general recruitment into the civil service.
According to the document, the approval was copied to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and authorised the council to recruit 300 personnel across various cadres.
The approved positions included 10 directors on Grade Level 17, 20 assistant directors on Grade Level 15 and 44 administrative officers across different grade levels.
Other positions approved for recruitment included 45 planning officers, six statisticians, 32 commercial officers, 22 investment promotion officers, 26 accountants, 10 legal officers, 13 procurement officers, 11 programme analysts, 12 information officers, nine executive officers (Accounts), nine executive officers (General Duties), five data processing officers, three confidential secretaries, six technical officers, seven data processing assistants, and 10 motor drivers and mechanics.
The letter stated, *”This approval is based on and limited to the 2025 Approved Establishment position of the Agency, which covers the proposed recruitment.”*
The Office of the Head of the Civil Service also directed the council to obtain clearance from the Budget Office of the Federation before commencing recruitment, comply with the Federal Character principle, reserve five per cent of the vacancies for persons living with disabilities, and ensure the approved number of positions was not exceeded. It further directed that officials from the office monitor the recruitment exercise.
Twenty-four hours after the waiver was issued, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi publicly thanked President Bola Tinubu for approving the recruitment.
In a message shared on social media, he wrote, *”Mr. President, we are growing because you believe in us.”*
Adeyemi also announced that the council had received approval to establish offices in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, alongside plans to open 127 offices across the world.
*”The visionary support strengthens our resolve to champion Nigerian enterprise and attract foreign direct investments across every border,”* he stated.
The latest revelation comes amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the PFIPC.
The Presidency has insisted that the council does not exist and has accused Adeyemi of forging appointment letters and other official documents to present himself as the agency’s Director-General.

The Federal Government has since filed criminal charges against Adeyemi over allegations bordering on conspiracy, forgery, impersonation and the use of forged presidential documents.
