5 Signs Of Phone Viruses and How To Get Rid Of Them
It’s a common assumption that viruses like spyware, adware, and other forms of malware can only infect computers. That is not entirely accurate.
For instance, in 2021, the mobile antivirus software from the security company Kaspersky discovered almost 3.5 million malicious packages that infected iOS and Android devices. Because of mobile viruses and adware, it’s critical to understand the signs of a virus on your phone and what to do about it.

In this article on EKO HOT BLOG, we would be looking at some signs of phone viruses and how to get rid of them.
1. Uncontrolled random pop-up ads.
Most pop-up advertisements are only used as marketing tools and don’t contain malware. However, if you find yourself dismissing pop-up ads more frequently than normal, it could be a sign that your phone has a virus. If there are any apps in your library that you don’t recall installing, uninstall them right away rather than opening them. When these apps are launched or used, the malware they typically contain is activated.
2. Your device is always hot even when it is not actively being used.
Malware isn’t supported by the design of your phone, so when you unintentionally acquire apps that do, the phone has to work harder to keep running. Your phone might be overheating in this situation.
3. Random unsolicited messages are sent to your contacts.
A virus may have accessed your contact list if your contacts start receiving unsolicited spam emails or messages from your account on social media, particularly if they contain suspicious links. It’s best to inform every contact in your list that your phone has been compromised to prevent malware downloads or the forwarding of those links to other people.
4. The device lags heavily or responds slowly.
Your phone may be acting suspiciously if it is acting abnormally slowly. The device might become slower as a result of having to work harder to support the malware that was downloaded. Another possibility for why your phone is operating slowly is that unfamiliar apps are using up storage space and starting background processes.
