Bollywood Actor Saif Ali Khan, 54, was rushed to a Mumbai hospital on Thursday after being repeatedly stabbed during an apparent burglary at his residence.

The acclaimed actor, known for his roles in over 70 films, underwent surgery for six injuries, including two that were deeply wounding.

Khan, who is married to Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor, was reportedly attacked at his home in Mumbai’s high-security neighborhood.

His public relations team confirmed the incident, urging fans to remain patient as the family dealt with the traumatic event.

“There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence,” the statement read, offering few further details on the attack.

Kareena Kapoor, speaking to the media, confirmed that her husband sustained an injury to his arm but assured that the rest of the family was unharmed.

“Saif is in the hospital, but we are all fine,” she said.

The incident has left fans in shock and sent ripples through the Bollywood community.

Khan, the son of former Indian cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore, has long been a prominent figure in Indian cinema.

His iconic roles in films such as Dil Chahta Hai (2001) and the popular Netflix crime series Sacred Games have made him a household name.
