Manchester United have rejected an approach from Napoli for winger Alejandro Garnacho, the club confirmed.
The 20-year-old Argentina international has been identified as Napoli’s top target, with the Italian side planning to use funds from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s expected transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
Napoli’s initial offer, reportedly around £40 million, fell well short of United’s valuation for the player. While the exact details of the communication remain unclear, the bid was quickly dismissed by the Red Devils.

Despite being open to offers for some academy players to support manager Ruben Amorim’s squad rebuild, United are not inviting bids for Garnacho or midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.
Speaking on Wednesday, Amorim reaffirmed Garnacho’s importance to the team, stating the young winger has a bright future at Old Trafford.
“That is clear. He has talent,” said Amorim.
“I think he changed the way he sees himself.
“He’s finding the best way to play in this system and is improving during training.”
Alejandro Garnacho played the full 90 minutes in Manchester United’s 3-1 comeback victory over Southampton at Old Trafford on Thursday, a win propelled by a remarkable 12-minute hat-trick from Amad Diallo.
