Rep. Wale Raji, who represents Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has praised the historic appointments of Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda as the first female Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA) and Hon. Fatai Mojeed as Deputy Speaker.

“This is an important moment for Lagos State,” he said. “The election of Rt. Hon. Mojisola Meranda as the first female Speaker and Hon. Fatai Mojeed as Deputy Speaker shows how far we’ve come in promoting inclusive governance and gender equality in leadership.

I commend their hard work and their readiness to lead the Assembly to greater success.”
The lawmaker urged the new leaders to work together with other members of the House to create laws that will improve life for Lagosians.
“As you take on these important roles, I encourage you to promote unity and teamwork in the House,” Rep. Raji said.
“Lagos is a large and smart city, and it needs forward-thinking, inclusive leadership to keep growing in every area.”
Rep. Raji also emphasized the need for cooperation among government officials and political leaders, saying this is key to the state’s progress.
