The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, on Thursday hosted the management of the Lagos State Cooperative College (LASCOCO), Oko-Oba, Agege, led by the Acting Provost, Dr. Walid Adebosin, alongside beneficiaries of his scholarship scheme who paid him an appreciation visit at the council secretariat, Agbowa.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the visit was aimed at expressing profound gratitude to the Chairman for his intervention and full sponsorship of eight indigent indigenes of the LCDA to pursue academic programmes at LASCOCO.

The beneficiaries, who successfully completed their first academic year, described the initiative as a turning point in their lives.
One of the beneficiaries, Miss Abiodun Adetutu, said: “Before this opportunity, furthering my education seemed impossible.
Today, I am proud to be a student at LASCOCO because of the Chairman’s generosity. He has given us hope and a future.”
In his remarks, Acting Provost Dr. Adebosin congratulated Otunba Anomo on his re-election and applauded his consistent investment in education.
“This initiative is not just about sponsoring students; it is about building future leaders. By supporting these young people, you are contributing immensely to the socio-economic development of Lagos State,” he said.
Responding, Otunba Anomo expressed satisfaction with the academic performance of the students and urged them to remain focused.
“I am delighted to hear of your excellent progress. Education is the foundation of sustainable development, and as long as I serve, human capital development will remain a priority in Ikosi-Ejinrin,” he stated.
In a fresh move, the Chairman announced the sponsorship of another set of indigenes into LASCOCO, expanding the scope of the scheme.
“We are widening the circle so more of our youths can access opportunities that will shape their future.
