A middle-aged man, Sunday Omisakin, one of the ex-convicts granted state pardon by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on December 24, 2024, has been sent back to the Ilesa Correctional Centre. This follows an incident on January 3, 2025, where he allegedly broke into a house in the Iludun area of Osogbo to steal a plasma TV worth ₦600,000.

According to the charge sheet, the first count states: “On January 3, 2025, at about 12:00 pm in the Al-Medinat Area, Iludun, Osogbo, Sunday Omisakin unlawfully broke into the house of Shittu Damilare and stole a plasma TV valued at ₦600,000.”
The second count adds that on the same date, time, and place, Sunday Omisakin stole the plasma TV belonging to Shittu Damilare.
These actions are said to violate Section 411 (1) (2) and Section 383, punishable under Section 390 (9) of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Vol. II, Laws of Osun State, 2002.

When he was first brought before the court on January 7, Sunday Omisakin applied for bail.

However, Magistrate A. Adeyeba adjourned the case to January 10 for a decision on the bail application. Meanwhile, Prosecutor Kayode Adeoye requested that Omisakin be remanded in the Ilesa Correctional centre.
