Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has filed a lawsuit against Turkish journalist Tolga Bozduman, who accused him of assaulting him at an African restaurant two weeks ago. The hearing for the case is set to begin today.
Osimhen, who has been thriving on loan at Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig, has been instrumental in leading the club’s charge both domestically and in the UEFA Europa League with key goals and assists.

However, his recent success has been overshadowed by the controversy involving the journalist.
Bozduman claimed Osimhen assaulted him after he attempted to take pictures of the striker following Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw against Dynamo Kyiv. Osimhen has firmly denied the allegations.

“I didn’t hit the journalists; they are lying. Why are you flashing your face, you have to ask permission for an interview. I told them they had to delete my photos. If I wanted to hit them, I would have.” he said in a video quoted by Pesindeyiz Galatasaray.
In a new development, radio host Buchi Laba, has said Osimhen is taking legal action against the journalist for defamation and the hearing is expected to start on Monday (today).

According to the Wazobia OAP, Osimhen said, “If I hit him, he’s going to get justice and if he lied, he’s going to get the wrath of the law.”
Osimhen has been in fine form since joining Galatasaray last summer. The Super Eagles star has registered 16 goals and five assists in 21 appearances for the Turkish giants.
