EKO HOT BLOG reports that the singer had initially sparked controversy on Sunday, January 26, 2025, when he announced his divorce from Annie, his wife of 12 years, in a post shared on his Instagram page and story.

However, shortly after the announcement, 2Baba deleted the post, claiming his account had been hacked.
In a surprising twist, the artist later admitted in a trending video that he was responsible for the post and that his account had not been compromised.
