Nigerian-born nurse and social media personality, Bemi Orojuogun, popularly known as “London Bus Aunty,” has been honoured in the United Kingdom with a London bus stop named in her recognition.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) disclosed this in a statement on Thursday while congratulating Orojuogun on the recognition.

NiDCOM Chairman/CEO, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, described the honour as a remarkable achievement and a source of pride to Nigeria and Nigerians in the diaspora.
Dabiri-Erewa said Orojuogun’s journey demonstrated how passion, authenticity and positive representation of one’s heritage could create an impact beyond Nigeria.
Orojuogun, a Nigerian-born nurse, gained widespread attention through her engaging social media videos featuring London’s iconic red buses.
Through her platforms, she has showcased everyday life in London while sharing her fascination with the city’s transport system and connecting with audiences through her unique personality.

NiDCOM said her content has brought joy to many people and contributed to a positive representation of Nigerians living in the United Kingdom.
Dabiri-Erewa commended Orojuogun for positively representing Nigeria and Nigerians in the UK and applauded Transport for London (TfL) for recognising her contribution and connection with the city’s transport community.
The NiDCOM chairman said the recognition further highlighted the contributions Nigerians continue to make in different fields and communities around the world.
She encouraged Orojuogun to see the honour as an inspiration to continue using her platform positively, adding that the achievements of Nigerians in the diaspora remain a source of pride to the country.
Dabiri-Erewa wished the social media personality continued success and congratulated her on what she described as a well-deserved recognition.
