Christianah Ademulegun, the first indigenous broadcaster from Ekiti State, popularly known as ‘Eye Opitan,’ has passed away at the age of 74.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that a statement from her son, Femi Ademulegun, confirmed that she died in the early hours of Thursday after a brief illness.
Ademulegun, widely respected for her deep knowledge of Ekiti history and ‘oriki’ (praise poetry), retired from the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State and later worked as a consultant for private stations in the state. She is survived by her children and grandchildren.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian entertainment industry has suffered another loss with the passing of Nollywood actor Columbus Irisoanga, popularly known as ‘Igbudu.’
His death was announced by veteran actress and politician Hilda Dokubo in an emotional Instagram post. Dokubo described Irisoanga’s passing as a significant loss to the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and the Nollywood industry.

Irisoanga’s demise comes just days after Nollywood actress Pat Ugwu also passed away at the age of 35. Veteran actor Emeka Okoye confirmed her death on Instagram on Wednesday, expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss.
