Troops of Operation Fansan Yan Bindiga have dealt a major blow to terrorist groups in Zamfara State, eliminating over 50 insurgents and injuring at least 25 others, including top commanders linked to notorious warlords Bello Turji and Sani Mai Nasara (Sani Black).
This victory marks a historic moment, as Nigerian forces successfully took control of the Tungan Fulani Hills, a former terrorist stronghold infamous for the 2019 ambush that claimed the lives of an army major and 16 soldiers.

Among the terrorists neutralized were well-known criminals Kachallah Sanni Bammuwa, Kachallah Auta, Audu Gajere, Kabiru Jangeru, Dan-Gajere (son of Audu Jabbi), and Bako Malaika.
Military sources revealed that previous attempts to secure the valley failed five times due to heavy resistance. However, this latest offensive cut off crucial supply routes from Niger Republic and Mali, crippling the terrorists’ ability to regroup.
A top military official stated, “This victory sends a strong message: there is no safe haven for terrorists in Nigeria.”

Following this breakthrough, the military has declared “Operation Show No Mercy,” vowing to wipe out all terrorist elements without negotiation.
“The time for hiding is over. Bello Turji, Sani Black, and their fighters must either surrender unconditionally or face total annihilation,” a security source warned.
The Nigerian Army, Air Force, and intelligence agencies have urged local communities to assist by reporting suspicious activities and movements of fleeing terrorists.

“The fight is far from over, but every terrorist camp will be destroyed, and every fugitive will be brought to justice,” the source added.
