Job Summary:
The Chemical Operations Technician will support chemical treatment processes, oversee the operation of the condensate polishing plant, and manage groundwater demineralization, water treatment, and estate water booster operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient operation of the condensate polishing unit and online analyzers.
- Assist in producing and maintaining stock levels of demineralized water.
- Support chemical treatment processes for steam purification.
- Maintain condensate polishing plant operations for Units 1-6.
- Perform routine checks on meters and oversee chemical agent injections.
- Monitor and maintain the estate water booster system.
- Keep detailed records of test results and equipment performance.
- Conduct daily water sample analysis and identify irregularities.
- Oversee proper storage and handling of bulk chemicals.
- Support compliance with industry safety and environmental regulations, including ISO standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: OND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: 0–3 years of relevant work experience.
Skills & Competencies:
- Understanding of water treatment and demineralization plant operations.
- Knowledge of chemistry applications in power plants.
- Strong analytical and laboratory skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
