Colombian pop star Shakira has canceled her upcoming concert in Medellín due to safety concerns over a damaged stage roof, event organizers announced on Friday.

“During the process of setting up the show, the stage roof suffered damage that put the artist’s safety at risk,” concert organizer Paramo Presenta said in a statement.
The company added that it hoped to reschedule the performance.
The cancellation comes as part of Shakira’s highly anticipated “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” world tour, her first in seven years.

The tour includes nearly 50 shows across Latin America before heading to the United States and Canada later this year.
This is the second setback for the 48-year-old singer in recent weeks. She previously canceled a show in Peru after being hospitalized for an abdominal condition.
Despite the disruptions, Shakira continues her tour following a celebrated Grammy win for Best Latin Pop Album. She made a triumphant return to her hometown of Barranquilla on Thursday, where thousands of fans welcomed her at the Metropolitano Stadium.
