An 18-year-old girl, Rukayat Ashiru, appeared before the Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court on charges of allegedly drugging her boyfriend, Waris Olamilekan, and withdrawing N4 million from his account.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the incident reportedly occurred on November 30, 2024, in the Mufu Lanihun area of Yidi Agugu, Ibadan.

Circulating social media chatter included a comment from a Nigerian woman advising, “You should feel insulted when a man invites you to his dirty house.”
Rukayat was arraigned on Friday, February 28, 2025, and faced charges of conspiracy and theft to which she pleaded not guilty.
Police prosecutor PC Olapeju Durodola testified that Rukayat, along with accomplices who remain at large, conspired to spike Waris’s drink with a substance that rendered him unconscious, after which she allegedly accessed N4 million from his account.

The offences are said to be in violation of Sections 390(9) and 516 of the Criminal Code Law of Oyo State, 2000. Chief Magistrate Olabisi Ogunkanmi granted bail at N2 million, stipulating that Rukayat provide two sureties one of whom must own property within the court’s jurisdiction, while the other should be a family member.
The case has been adjourned until May 26, 2025, for the next hearing.
