The Senate recently suspended Akpoti-Uduaghan for six months after her allegation of sexual harassment against Akpabio, which the Senate ethics committee rejected due to procedural violations.
“It is unfortunate; we’re going to be brokering peace.
“In the last assembly, we had nine women senators; in this Assembly, we have four. We don’t want to lose any member of the Senate or House of Representatives.

“We want to increase the numbers.
“We will engage all the stakeholders to ensure that they temper justice with mercy,” she said.
Sulaiman-Ibrahim noted that during the International Women’s Day event at the National Assembly on Thursday, the Senate President expressed openness to engaging in peace talks.
She stated that the Ministry of Women Affairs would act as an intermediary between the two parties involved in the recent sexual harassment allegations, seeking to promote reconciliation and maintain a collaborative working environment within the Senate.
“So, we’re going to be an intermediary between the two parties to see that peace reigns.
