As the Holy periods of Lent and Ramadan unfold, the lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency, Hon. Wale Raji, has called on Nigerians to use this season to seek God’s mercy and guidance, especially for the nation’s leaders.
Ekohotblog reports that “It will be better if all Nigerians can use this holy period to call on God and ask for mercy, that God should direct our leaders,” Hon. Raji stated, emphasizing the need for spiritual reflection and repentance.

He noted that Ramadan is very important for Muslims, just as Lent is for Christians, stressing that both periods serve as moments of divine mercy, prayer, and seeking forgiveness.
“This period of Lent and Ramadan is a time for mercy when people move closer to God and ask for forgiveness,” he said. “The mercy of God on individuals is endless, and we should also give thanks to Him at all times.”

Encouraging Nigerians to be steadfast in their prayers, the lawmaker urged both Muslims and Christians to use the season to draw closer to God, believing that divine intervention can bring about positive change in society.
“We must be very prayerful so that God will touch our minds and change them for the better, so that the fear of God will be prioritized in whatever we do,” Hon. Raji added.
Reaffirming his commitment to the development of Epe and its environs, the lawmaker assured his constituents that his efforts to improve their welfare and well-being would continue.
