EKO HOT BLOG reports that a notice of disobedience, signed by the Court Registrar under Section 72 of the Sheriffs and Civil Process Act 2004, warns Akpabio and other defendants of the consequences of ignoring a ruling issued on March 4, 2025, by Justice O.A. Egwuatu.
The Federal High Court in Abuja issued Form 48 against the Clerk of the National Assembly, the Senate, Senate President Akpabio, and Senate Committee on Ethics Chairman, Senator Neda Imasuem, identifying them as defendants and contemnors in Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/384/2025.
The court declared that their failure to comply with the order renders them liable for contempt, which could result in imprisonment. Despite receiving the order on March 5, 2025, they allegedly continued actions in direct violation of the court’s directive.
