The 8th-day Fidau prayer for the late Pa. Otunba Bola Odebiyi was held on Thursday amidst an outpouring of emotions, heartfelt tributes, and fervent prayers at his Epe residence.

The event brought together Islamic clerics, family members, and well-wishers to honour the life and times of a man revered for his humility, generosity, and commitment to community development.

Leading the solemn prayer session was the Grand Chief Imam of Epe Division, Sheikh Abdulrahman Abiola Sadallah, who offered special prayers and supplications for the repose of the late Otunba’s soul.
In his sermon, Sheikh Sadallah extolled the virtues of the departed, describing him as a man of rare character, deeply committed to the service of humanity and the betterment of society.

He urged members of the Odebiyi family to uphold their father’s golden legacy of kindness, meekness, and compassion, charging them to immortalize his contributions by walking in his moral and spiritual footsteps.
“Otunba Bola Odebiyi was a pillar in this community, a man who lived with purpose and served with honour. Let us continue his legacy by being agents of good, just as he was,” the cleric noted.
Other prominent clerics present included the Senior Imam of Epe Division and the respected Cleric Sheikh Adam, who both took turns to offer prayers and share words of reflection.
The ministering clerics unanimously upheld the memory of Otunba Odebiyi, hailing his lasting impact on Epe and beyond.
