The Anambra State Police Command has announced the arrest of two suspects allegedly connected to the kidnapping and murder of a female bank manager, following the collection of a N14 million ransom from her family.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the suspects were apprehended on May 28, according to a statement released by the Command’s Spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, on Sunday.

The victim’s body was found with her eyes tied along Nnobi road on January 13, 2025, after the abductors had already received the ransom payment.
“Following the assurance of the Anambra State Police Command to follow up cases until suspects are apprehended to prevent further criminal activities in the State, two suspects were arrested on 28th May 2025,” he said.
Ikenga identified the suspects as Monday Egbe (32) and Kenneth Nnoga (28) and were tracked to their hideout in a neighboring state following an extensive investigation.

“The operatives, while on diligent investigations, trailed two of the suspects… to their criminal hideout in a neighbouring State,” he added.
Ikenga confirmed that the two arrested suspects are currently being interrogated to gather additional information about the criminal gang’s operations.
“The Command shall continue to live up to its mandate of protection of lives and properties of Ndi Anambra and residents and to ensure that all cases are followed to a logical conclusion and justice served,” he added.
