In Osogbo, Osun State, a magistrate court has ordered the remand of Taofeek Jimoh at the Ilesa Correctional Centre for allegedly killing his mother.

The incident reportedly occurred on February 19, 2025, at around 8:00 pm in the Oke-Ola area of Osogbo.
Prosecutor ASP Fatoba Temitope informed the court that Jimoh, who did not have legal representation, physically assaulted his mother during an argument, which ultimately led to her death.
The alleged offence violates Section 319 of the Criminal Code Cap. 34 Vol. 11, Laws of Osun State, 2002.

Magistrate O. Olatunji stated that Jimoh was remanded due to the gravity of the charges against him.
The case has been adjourned until June 17 for further proceedings.
