The Kwara State Fire Service has recovered the body of a 43-year-old man identified only as Kazeem, who tragically fell into a domestic well in Ilorin, the state capital, Eko Hot Blog reports.
According to a statement released by Fire Service spokesperson Hassan Adekunle, firefighters were promptly dispatched in response to a distress call received at approximately 10:29 a.m.

The victim was reportedly under the influence of a hard substance known locally as Colo (Colorado) and had just returned from Eid prayers before falling into the well.
The body was later handed over to Inspector Babatunde Amos of the C Division Police Station, Ilorin, with formal identification and claim by the victim’s family still pending.

Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, Director of the State Fire Service, expressed his condolences over the incident and emphasized the importance of avoiding drug abuse.
He cautioned residents that substance abuse could lead to tragic and avoidable outcomes.
