The peaceful town of Ladaba, under Epe Local Government, was filled with joy and cultural splendour as residents, monarchs, and dignitaries gathered at the Ladaba Palace for the annual Ojude Oba Festival, hosted by HRM Oba Nureni Sikiru Odedina (Alugbin I), the Oniladaba of Ladaba Kingdom.
Ekohotblog reports that the colourful occasion brought together monarchs, baales, political leaders, family, friends, and members of the wider Yoruba community who came to honour the traditional ruler and partake in the rich cultural celebration.

In his royal address, Oba Nureni Sikiru Odedina highlighted the significance of the festival:
“Ojude Oba is a day of reuniting and celebrating as one big family and community, especially after everyone has observed Ileya in their various homes. It strengthens our bond, revives our cultural values, and reminds us of who we are as a people.”
The monarch also offered prayers for the peace, growth, and prosperity of Ladaba, while thanking all guests and indigenes for their continued support.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including HRM Oba Kazeem Adesina Salami, Osobia of Makun-Omi, who praised Oba Odedina’s leadership and urged the people to stand firmly behind their monarch.
“Kabiyesi is a pillar of unity and progress,” Oba Kazeem said. “Let the people of Ladaba remain supportive and loyal to his vision.”
HRM Oba Adeleke Akibu Ismaila, Adengbin of Lepia Kingdom, added:
“The power of a community lies in its unity with the king. Ladaba is blessed with a king who cherishes his people.”
Also in attendance was Oba Makun, who stressed the importance of upholding culture and respecting traditional institutions.
Hon. Adam, Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, described Oba Odedina as “a leader of integrity and wisdom whose reign continues to bring stability to Ladaba Kingdom.”
Baale Oko Abe congratulated the monarch and commended the peaceful nature of the community.
