The Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) in a move aimed at enhancing parking management across Lagos, has launched its first area office in Yaba.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the new office is situated within the Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA) at 379 Herbert Macaulay Way, officially began operations in May 2025.

The General Manager of LASPA, Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu, described the initiative as a strategic step to improve service delivery and ensure more effective coverage in the Yaba axis. According to her, the presence of LASPA officials in the area will foster a smoother and safer parking experience, while also supporting quicker business operations for residents and visitors.

Mrs. Adelabu emphasized that the Yaba office marks LASPA’s first localized office in Lagos, with plans underway to establish more area offices across other Local Government Areas and Council Development Areas to expand reach and efficiency.
The Yaba Area Office is designed to serve as a central hub for stakeholder engagement, enforcement of parking regulations, and the development of parking infrastructure in the Yaba LCDA.
