The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, joined forces with top party leaders at the Lagos East APC Mega Rally held on Saturday, 28th June 2025, at Government College, Owutu, Ikorodu.
Ekohotblog reports that the high-energy event drew thousands of passionate party loyalists and grassroots supporters from across the senatorial district, reinforcing the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s dominance ahead of the July 12 Local Government elections.

The rally featured a powerful assembly of dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat; APC Lagos State Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi; Senator representing Lagos East, Senator Tokunbo Abiru; GAC member and Epe Divisional Leader, Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu; along with other respected Governance Advisory Council members and prominent stakeholders.
Addressing the crowd, Hon. (Princess) Surah Animashaun highlighted the significance of the rally as a demonstration of the party’s shared vision and commitment to progress.
“This rally is not just a political gathering, it’s a reaffirmation of our unity, our readiness, and our shared commitment to progress,” she said.
“The APC remains the trusted party of development, and we are fully prepared to deepen that legacy across Lagos East and especially in Epe.”
Known for her dynamic leadership and people-centered policies, Princess Animashaun stood out as a beacon of continuity and competence in grassroots governance.
Deputy Governor Hamzat commended the enthusiasm of the crowd, calling it a sign of confidence in APC’s achievements.
“When the people gather like this, it means they are satisfied and they want more of responsible governance,” he said.
Senator Tokunbo Abiru emphasized the importance of local government in service delivery.
