The initiative focuses on equipping participants with in-demand skills in cloud computing, machine learning, and other emerging technologies.
It is part of the Ministry’s efforts to implement the Renewed Hope Agenda and supports the goals of the Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI).
Following a successful pilot involving 43 federal universities and polytechnics, the Ministry of Education is now extending the program to all federal, state, and private tertiary institutions, including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
The Ministry of Education noted that heads of institutions are encouraged to nominate coordinators who will serve as liaisons between their institutions, AWS, and the Ministry. These coordinators will oversee the nomination of lecturers, who will then enroll students in the program.

To ensure access for all, the Ministry and AWS will cover 100 percent of certification costs, allowing participants to complete the training and earn internationally recognized credentials at no cost.
State and private institutions interested in joining can now register their coordinators through the official portal:

This collaboration marks a significant step toward transforming the education sector through innovation, technology, and equal access to digital opportunities
