EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a statement on Sunday, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, confirmed that the Senate is aware of the court’s decision but will proceed in strict accordance with constitutional procedures after a full review of the judgment.
Adaramodu said, “The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria acknowledges that judgment was delivered on July 4 by the Federal High Court, Abuja, in the suit filed by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
“However, the Senate is yet to be served the certified true copy of the said judgment. Our legal representatives who attended the proceedings confirmed that the complete judgment was not read in open court.”
The Senate noted that it has officially applied for the CTC to carefully assess the court’s findings and determine the next steps, particularly as there remains uncertainty regarding whether the court explicitly nullified Akpoti-Uduaghan’s suspension.
“Since no party has been officially served the enrolled order of the judgment, no enforcement can begin on any perceived order or relief,” Adaramodu added.
The Senate said it would refrain from any action that might affect its legal position until the full judgment is reviewed.

Adaramodu appealed for public patience, assuring Nigerians that the Senate remains fully committed to upholding the rule of law and respecting due process.
