EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to a statement by the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the session will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will be presided over by President Tinubu.
The meeting was initially scheduled for Tuesday but was postponed due to the state funeral held in Daura, Katsina State, on the same day.
Former President Buhari died on Sunday, July 13, after a prolonged illness in a London hospital. His death triggered a national mourning period and tributes from leaders across Nigeria and beyond.
Meanwhile, former presidential candidate Peter Obi has explained his absence from the Tuesday burial ceremony in Daura. Speaking to Arise TV, Obi said he had planned to attend but was unable to secure a flight to Katsina in time due to airspace restrictions caused by the influx of dignitaries.
“It was difficult to come yesterday because there was no flight,” Obi stated. “Even if there was a flight, you couldn’t land in Katsina Airport. It was all closed, because there were a lot of dignitaries.”
Obi, however, travelled to Daura on Wednesday to condole with the family of the late leader.

“Mourning continues until tomorrow. So, whoever comes today and tomorrow, is still part of the mourning,” he added.
The late president’s burial drew high-profile attendees, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, who led a federal delegation, as well as state governors, traditional rulers, and international representatives.
