EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a video shared via his Instagram page on Monday, Edochie urged Nigerians to support the idea of a South-East presidency in 2027, saying it aligns with the principles of equity. His comment comes as a surprise to many, considering his frequent public support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The actor has consistently asked Nigerians to be patient with Tinubu’s leadership, especially amid ongoing economic challenges, stating that the fruits of the reforms would soon become visible. However, he maintained that despite his backing of the current government, the presidency should shift to the South-East in the next election.

“The next President of Nigeria should come from the South-East in fairness and equity. That’s just the truth and that’s how it should be,” he said.
