The Kaduna State Police Command has dismantled a kidnapping syndicate operating in the Jema’a axis of southern Kaduna.
Eko Hot Blog reports that six suspects were arrested in connection with the abduction of one Hussaini Ibrahim, following a distress call from Ungwan Ninzom, Jagindi Tasha village.

Police operatives from Kafanchan Division responded swiftly and launched a coordinated manhunt for the kidnappers.
On February 24, 2025, Ibrahim was rescued from a bush with a gunshot wound to his leg and taken to a clinic.
He was later reunited with his family after receiving medical attention.
Among the arrested were Umar Yusuf Jabiri (30), Buhari Muhammad a.k.a. General (31), Ahmadu Nasiru (51), and Zakari Saleh (50).
Four firearms were recovered including an English-made AK-47 and three locally fabricated versions.

Police say investigations are ongoing to locate fleeing members of the criminal gang.
In a separate operation, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit intercepted a suspicious package on July 23, 2025.
The consignment, sent from Jos to Gusau, contained a concealed fabricated AK-47 rifle inside a sack.
Two suspects, Abdulmumin Sani and Naziru Musa, were arrested while attempting to collect the arms.
They are currently in custody and will be charged upon conclusion of investigations.
Commending the operatives, CP Rabiu Muhammad praised their efficiency and commitment to public safety.
He reiterated the Command’s resolve to rid Kaduna State of criminal elements and dismantle armed groups.
