EKO HOT BLOG reports that the family’s arrival in Kaduna was met with a warm reception by top government officials, including the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, who led a delegation to welcome them.
This move follows the earlier relocation of the late President Buhari to the same Kaduna residence, which had been newly renovated. He had left his native Daura in Katsina State nearly two years after the end of his tenure in May 2023.
Following the former President’s death, he was buried in Daura. The family’s relocation marks the formal shift of the household from their previous base in Katsina to Kaduna, where they are expected to continue residing.
Photos from the scene showed Aisha Buhari being received in a respectful and solemn atmosphere as sympathizers and state officials paid homage to the family.
