There was celebration, jubilation, and overwhelming gratitude to Almighty God in Epe Local Government on Sunday, July 27, 2025, as residents trooped out en masse to welcome their re-elected Executive Chairman, Hon. (Amb.) Dr. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, back home following her official swearing-in ceremony by the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
Ekohotblog reports that the victory party, held at the residence of HRM Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, was a grand affair, attracting a mammoth crowd of party faithful, traditional rulers, religious leaders, women leaders, and APC stalwarts.

It was a festive atmosphere with chants of victory songs, drums, and heartfelt prayers for a successful tenure.
Speaking at the event, High Chief Yesiru Dada, Agbon of Epe Land, described the Chairman’s first term as a beacon of developmental governance.
“Princess Surah has done what no one expected in just four years.
Her impact is visible in every corner of Epe — from road infrastructure to education, healthcare and women empowerment. We are lucky to have her again,” he said.
Also in attendance was the Oba-elect of Oriba, who praised the chairman’s humility and accessibility.
“She leads with empathy and strength. Epe is in safe hands again,” he noted.
The Chairman of NURTW Epe Branch, Alhaji Ibrahim Olowo, and Branch Secretary Mr. Olajide Kazeem (Monday Ibile), jointly commended the Chairman’s transportation initiatives and commitment to empowering transport workers.
“Her support for our sector in her first term was huge. We’ll support her fully again,” said Olowo.
The celebration didn’t end there.
On Monday, July 28, 2025, the staff of Epe Local Government, under the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), led by Mrs. Aiyeola, gave the Chairman a rousing heroic welcome at the council secretariat.
The council gate was transformed into a festive arena, with staff singing and dancing in appreciation of their leader’s return to office.
“We believe in her leadership. Her first term brought dignity to public service. We’re excited for what the next four years hold,” said Mrs. Aiyeola.
The celebration transitioned into a special general meeting and prayer session, where all council staff gathered to intercede for the success, peace, and prosperity of the new administration.

Princess Surah, in her brief remarks, expressed profound gratitude for the show of love and support.
“This second term is not about me, but about the collective future of Epe.
I promise to continue delivering purposeful leadership, and I ask for your continuous support and prayers,” she said.
