Describing the situation as “a temporary loss of sanity and control on both sides,” Keyamo expressed deep concern over the altercation, emphasizing that such behavior is unacceptable in the aviation sector.
“This kind of behaviour is unacceptable, especially onboard a flight. It could have resulted in a tragedy,” the Minister stated, stressing the potential dangers posed to passengers and crew during airborne disputes.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had earlier announced the six-month commercial flight ban on K1, citing violations of aviation safety protocols. FAAN also alleged that the artist brought alcohol onboard, which he reportedly consumed during boarding, sparking a standoff and disrupting operations.
Keyamo reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance approach toward safety violations, adding that public figures must lead by example when in high-security zones like airports.
The controversy has since ignited a national debate, with opinions divided over the conduct of both the aviation authorities and the music icon. As the conversation unfolds, regulatory bodies are reaffirming their commitment to upholding air safety standards without exception.
