According to the Anambra governor, his relationship with Tinubu is rooted in long-standing mutual respect and shared progressive ideals.
“Tinubu has been my friend for 22 years. Friendship doesn’t vanish because of political differences. I support him and I’m encouraged by the bold reforms his administration has initiated, especially in the economic space.”
Soludo, who was elected under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), explained that his support for the Tinubu-led administration stems from a commitment to progressive politics and national development.

He noted that genuine progressives across various parties should find common ground to work together, stressing the need for ideological unity rather than political rivalry.
“What matters is the progress of Nigeria. I believe that political parties with progressive philosophies must unite to drive real change and deepen democracy,” he said.
On the security situation in Anambra, Soludo revealed that his government is implementing a dual approach, combining force with engagement.
He disclosed that the Homeland Security Law, enacted in January, is being fully enforced alongside other security measures targeting criminal elements.
He highlighted that the state government is investing heavily in youth development as part of its non-kinetic strategy to address insecurity.
“We’re training thousands of young people in technical skills and entrepreneurship. About 5,000 have been empowered so far, and we aim to create thousands of youth millionaires in the next three years,” he said.
