The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, officially commenced his second term in office on Thursday, 14th August 2025, with a special prayer session held at the Secretariat Central Mosque.

Eko Hot Blog reports that The event drew political leaders, council staff, religious clerics, traditional leaders, and residents, all gathered to seek divine guidance and blessings for the new administration.

The prayers, led by Islamic scholars, focused on wisdom, peace, unity, and prosperity for Eredo LCDA.
Speaking after the session, Hon. Akinloye expressed gratitude to God and the people of Eredo for the trust reposed in him. “Starting my second term with prayers is a way of acknowledging that leadership is a trust from God. We will continue to work tirelessly to improve the lives of our people and deliver on our promises,” he said.

Community leaders present described the prayer session as a positive and humble way to begin a new term, fostering unity and shared purpose between the council leadership and the people.
Hon. Akinloye reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and improved social services, pledging to build on the achievements of his first term.
