The National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, on Tuesday reunited 128 rescued kidnap victims with their families in Abuja. Security forces rescued the victims, primarily females and children, during two separate operations in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State.
According to Eko Hot Blog reports, the victims will now receive treatment for trauma and assistance to help them settle back into their communities.

NSA Ribadu praised the security forces for their efforts and assured Nigerians that the authorities will hunt down and bring the perpetrators to justice. He also warned against mixing politics with national security challenges.
Major General Adamu Laka, the National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Centre, provided a further update. He said that one of the rescued children, unfortunately, died due to an illness, while a premature baby born during the rescue operation is currently receiving medical care.
