The Ogunlaja Royal Family of Odo Noforija, in Epe Division of Lagos State, on Friday Evening hosted the wake keep ceremony for the late Princess Susana Ogunlaja, who passed away at the age of 86.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the ceremony, held at the royal family house,Noforija drew together clergy, community leaders, traditional chiefs, family members, friends, and neighbors, all united in grief and gratitude for a life described as “well-lived and impactful.”

The evening was filled with soul-lifting songs of praise, heartfelt prayers and eulogies that painted a picture of Princess Ogunlaja as a matriarch of substance, whose life embodied humility, service, and deep devotion to God and humanity. glowing tributes celebrating the life and legacy of the late princess.
In their tributes, clergy members extolled her steadfastness in faith and her commitment to the church, while community leaders highlighted her immense contributions to peace and progress within Odo Noforija and the larger Epe Division.

Family representative, Princess Tosin, described Princess Susana Ogunlaja as a woman of virtue, humility, and commitment to both her family, the Church, and the Odo-Noforija community.
Sharing personal memories, she said: “Mama would always tell me that God will not disappoint me, and I am grateful that God fulfilled her words before she passed. She lived to carry her grandchild from me, and that gave her joy.”
She further added: “Her prayers and words of encouragement remain a treasure to me. Mama’s legacy of faith and love will continue to guide us as a family.”
One of the community members remarked: “Princess Susana Ogunlaja was not just a royal by birth but a true mother to many.
Her kindness, wisdom, and accommodating spirit touched countless lives. Though she has departed, her values will continue to guide generations.”
Friends and neighbors also described her as a caring woman who opened her heart and home to many, leaving behind indelible footprints of love, charity, and selflessness.
