The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has confirmed the death of Mrs Grace Adayilo, the pioneer Head of the FCT Civil Service.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Adayilo passed away in the early hours of Monday, though the circumstances of her death were not immediately disclosed.

Wike confirmed the sad news during a media chat with selected journalists in Abuja. He described her as a dedicated and hardworking woman, noting that he had requested President Bola Tinubu to extend her tenure in recognition of her efforts.
“The late FCT Head of Service was extremely hardworking. I asked President Tinubu to extend her tenure because of her dedication.
“If I had known about her passing before this media chat, I would have postponed the event,” he added.
