Armed bandits have kidnapped two people, including the Principal of Junior Secondary School Melehe, during a late night attack on Melehe community in Kontagora Local Government Area of Niger State.

The incident happened on Friday night when about four attackers invaded the community between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen disguised themselves in hijabs and sat calmly at the entrance of the victims’ house, posing as ordinary women.

At about 11 p.m., they reportedly took off the hijabs, forced their way into the house, and abducted the school principal along with a Fulani woman identified as Aminu Runtoje.
