Lieutenant Commodore M Buba, a senior officer attending a course at the Armed Forces and Command Staff College (AFCSC) in Jaji, was fatally stabbed in Kaduna.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the attack occurred when a hoodlum attempted to rob the officer of his mobile phone and other valuables at the Kawo bridge.

According to eyewitnesses, Lieutenant Commodore Buba experienced a flat tire on his way back to Jaji and was targeted by the assailant during this vulnerable moment.
“He alighted from his car trying to change the flat tyre, when the unknown assailant suddenly appeared and demanded him to handover his GSM phone. The senior officer refused questioning the rationale when the assailant suddenly stabbed him on the chest with a local knife.”
A brave local vigilante, Suleiman Dahiru, attempted to assist during the fatal attack in Kaduna, unfortunately, Dahiru was also stabbed in the hand by the assailant while trying to help the senior officer.
According to reports, the assailant was eventually subdued and mobbed by nearby people, leading to the attacker’s death at the scene.
A senior military officer who did not want to he mentioned said, “The wounded senior officer was initially rushed to Manaal Hospital but was confirmed dead on arrival.
“The corpse of the deceased was subsequently evacuated to 44 Nigerian Army Referee Hospital, Kaduna mortuary for further action.
“Troops in plain clothes, police and other civil security agencies have been mobilised and tasked on covert operations to identify and clear all miscreants loitering around bus stops and other black spots in Kaduna Metropolis.”
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan confirmed the incident and described it as ‘unfortunate’.
He, however, assured that the police were doing everything possible to secure the area and the state at large.
