Ekohotblog reports that the Rotary club of Gbagada has officially ushered in its 42nd President, Rotarian Tosin Olawoyin, at an investiture ceremony and fundraising luncheon held on Sunday at the Lagos Country Club, Ikeja.
In his acceptance speech, Olawoyin expressed gratitude to his predecessor, the 41st President of the club, Rotarian Niyi Adekunle, for his integrity, dedication and unwavering service.

He emphasized that Rotary has continued to stand as a beacon of service, integrity, fellowship and leadership values that unite more than 1.4 million Rotarians across 200 countries and regions.
”As we enter the new rotary year 2025/2026, we embrace the global theme set by the Rotary International President themed unity for hope. We unite for good, for the betterment of our communities, for peace in the world, for education and sustainability,” Olawoyin declared.

Outgoing President, Rotarian Niyi Adekunle, congratulated his successor while highlighting key achievements of his administration. He recalled that the club executed 40 impactful projects in a single day, a first in their district.

Adekunle also narrated the story of a Nigerian woman who, after 23 years of immobility, received an artificial leg through the intervention of the Rotary Club of Gbagada.
”We did not just expand our reach of Rotary in 2024/2025, we created lasting impact that solidified our reputation as a champion club,” he said.
The event featured a parade of past presidents since the club’s inception, presentation of awards to meritorious members and dignitaries, as well as donations towards upcoming projects for the new rotary year.
