- Odomola Secondary School gets six new classrooms
- Principals and alumni hail Akinloye’s consistent support
- Chairman pledges more projects in his second term
The atmosphere at Odomola Junior Secondary School was filled with joy and gratitude on Thursday, September 25, 2025, as Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, returned to his alma mater to commission a block of six fully furnished classrooms.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the project, commissioned alongside HRM Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo, the Lapekun of Odo-Egiri, was described as both a personal and community milestone.
Akinloye, who graduated from the school 31 years ago, called the gesture a homecoming of honour.
“It gives me joy and honour to stand here today in my alma mater, a place that shaped my foundation, value and journey in life.

Today is not just about commissioning a block of classrooms but a celebration of giving back to the institution that gave so much to us,” he said.
The school leadership spoke glowingly about the project. The former principal, Mrs. Jonathan, who had just been transferred, explained that overcrowding had long hindered effective learning.
“For years, our students struggled to learn under difficult conditions because of the shortage of classrooms. Today, Hon. Akinloye has given us what we have long prayed for. May God bless him richly,” she said.
The Senior School Principal, Mrs. Olaniyi, also offered words of appreciation, noting that the project will go a long way in improving teaching and learning.
The current Junior Principal added a prayer for the Chairman, describing the intervention as a timely blessing for the entire community.
The Odomola alumni also praised Akinloye, recalling his consistent support. “Hon. Akinloye has always been active and ready to give back to this school.
In all our previous donations, he has stood with us, and today he has taken that commitment even further by building classrooms that will impact generations,” they said.
Addressing pupils and parents, Akinloye charged them with a sense of responsibility: “To the students, this is your space.
Treat it with care. To the community, education is a shared responsibility. These classrooms belong not to the school but to all of us.”
He further expressed appreciation to stakeholders including the 1994 alumni set and the contractors who delivered the project.
“We are not going to relent but do more. I thank you for the opportunity given to me to return back for the second term in office,” he concluded.
