EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a video and statement shared on Instagram on Saturday, Bliss said his team had planned to travel from Nairobi, Kenya, to Tanzania on October 2 for the free worship event.
However, upon arrival at the airport, they discovered that their visas had not been approved despite earlier assurances from the organisers.
“It’s very unfortunate that I couldn’t make it to worship with us today. I heard there were about 60,000 of you who came out. I’m sorry, I did my best,” the “Too Faithful” singer said.
Bliss explained that his team reached out to various authorities, including government officials and ambassadors, but the issue could not be resolved.
They were later advised to obtain visas on arrival in Dar es Salaam, but immigration officials denied them entry after they landed around midnight.
The gospel artist described the situation as painful and disappointing, saying significant time, effort, and money had gone into preparing for the concert.
“It’s painful because we’ve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to make this event free so people could worship Jesus,” he said.
Bliss apologised to his Tanzanian fans, thanking them for their love and support, and promised to return soon. “You were not at fault. You came out ready for God, and that moves me deeply. By God’s grace, I will return,” he assured.
