At least two people have been confirmed dead following a violent clash over a family traditional title dispute in Gbajibo village, Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State, Eko Hot Blog reports.
According to reports shared by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Sunday via X, the incident occurred on Friday, October 3, 2025, after a heated argument between two relatives Iliyasu Umar Sayidi, aged 30, and Ahmadu Isah, aged 25, both from Bukka village turned violent.

Witnesses said the confrontation quickly escalated, leading both men to stab each other with daggers during the fight. They sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the General Hospital in Jebba, where medical personnel confirmed them dead on arrival.

Police operatives were later deployed to the scene, where they documented evidence and took photographs of the deceased before conveying their bodies to the hospital mortuary for autopsy.
Authorities said the case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation to determine the cause of the altercation and possible involvement of other parties.
Community leaders in Gbajibo have appealed for calm and urged families to resolve internal disputes peacefully to avoid further loss of lives.
