The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Prof. Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, has extended a warm welcome to both newly admitted and returning students as the institution commences the 2025/2026 academic session.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in her message, Prof. Lafiaji-Okuneye encouraged students to seize the new academic year as an opportunity for growth, excellence, and self-development.
She urged them to approach their studies with “dedication, focus, and discipline,” while also taking full advantage of the University’s academic resources and support services.

The Vice Chancellor reaffirmed LASUED’s zero-tolerance stance against cultism, examination malpractice, indecent dressing, and all forms of violence, stressing the need for students to uphold the core values of integrity, respect, and responsibility in their daily lives on campus.
“Stay humble, manage your time wisely, and remain open to learning from every experience throughout your academic journey,” Prof. Lafiaji-Okuneye advised.
She concluded her address by wishing all students a fruitful, peaceful, and inspiring academic year, adding that LASUED remains committed to shaping professionals who are unique, disciplined, and globally competitive.
