Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to partnering with faith-based organisations such as the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria and Overseas to strengthen interventions in education, healthcare, and social welfare for the benefit of Lagos residents.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the governor made this known on Tuesday during a courtesy visit by the Society’s leadership, led by its President, Prince Adeniji Kazeem (SAN), at the Lagos House, Marina.

Sanwo-Olu congratulated Kazeem, a former Lagos State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, on his emergence as the Society’s President, describing him as a capable and visionary leader.
He assured the Society of his administration’s full support to ensure that its current tenure records impactful achievements.
“We commend the interventions by the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria and Overseas over the years, directly and indirectly. This is a Society that has changed lives and made positive impacts, especially in education,” Sanwo-Olu said.

The governor also appreciated the Society’s contributions to healthcare, security advocacy, and public enlightenment, noting that collaboration between government and faith-based organisations remains crucial to achieving inclusive development.
In his remarks, Prince Adeniji Kazeem (SAN) reaffirmed the Society’s commitment to supporting the Lagos State Government’s efforts in education, healthcare, and social welfare.
He described the meeting as an opportunity to deepen collaboration between the state and faith-based organisations to promote moral rejuvenation and community service.
“For over a century, Ansar-Ud-Deen has remained steadfast in promoting quality education, moral discipline, and community service in line with Islamic values. Our Society stands as a dependable partner to the Lagos State Government in achieving a Greater Lagos that is inclusive, prosperous, and peaceful,” Kazeem said.
He commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for his leadership and development strides across key sectors, pledging the Society’s continued prayers and partnership.
The Ansar-Ud-Deen President also called for stronger partnerships between government and faith-based organisations to enhance social impact through joint education, health, and welfare programmes, promote interfaith collaboration, and build capacity for religious leaders in governance and transparency.
