President Bola Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), on the occasion of her birthday, praising her steadfast commitment to national service and Nigeria’s global image.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Dabiri-Erewa as a distinguished public servant whose career reflects excellence, patriotism, and compassion.

He recalled her early career in broadcasting with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) before transitioning into politics, where she served three consecutive terms in the House of Representatives.
During her legislative career, Dabiri-Erewa chaired the House Committee on Media and Publicity, as well as the House Committee on Diaspora Affairs, where she championed key national issues and advocacy for Nigerians living abroad.
The President lauded her leadership at NiDCOM, noting her role in strengthening engagement with the Nigerian diaspora community and mobilising their expertise and resources to support national development in sectors such as education, healthcare, and sports.

Tinubu also commended her lifelong passion for social justice and dedication to uplifting the underprivileged, describing her as a shining example of public service driven by empathy and integrity.
He noted that her numerous awards and recognitions stand as a testament to her outstanding contributions, vision, and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s progress.
