According to her, invitations have been extended to several distinguished guests, including the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; his Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde; former Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President, Olawale Cole; and Chairman of Skymit Motors, Tayo Ayeni, among others.
She explained that the celebration features a series of events, including a family legacy programme and a women’s choir concert, which have already been held. Upcoming events include a youth choir festival, the annual church harvest, and the grand finale.

Founded 170 years ago on Broad Street, Lagos, the church has since expanded to 23 congregations within and outside Nigeria. Its mission outreach covers several fields, including the Bassa Home Mission Field in Niger State, Missionary Purse Ministries, Foreign Missions, Cross River Mission Field, and the Togo Mission Field.
The Lead Pastor of the church, Rev. (Dr) Julius Ayodele Oluwole, said the anniversary was a time to celebrate God’s faithfulness and reflect on the legacy of the church’s founding fathers.
“This celebration allows us to appreciate the foundation laid by our forebears and the difference the church has made in the lives of its members and the larger society,” he said.
Rev. Oluwole added that the anniversary would also inspire renewed commitment to evangelism, particularly among the youth, to strengthen the church’s growth and mission.
