The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Chairman of Chairmen, Conference 57, Hon. Engr. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa (Jaja), in partnership with Pan Atlantic University (PAU), has launched the distribution of digital tablets to all Senior Secondary School 3 (SS3) students across the local government area.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the historic event, held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Ibeju-Lekki Council Secretariat, drew students from Iwerekun Community High School, Ibeju Community High School, Magbon Alade Grammar School,
Debojo Community High School, Akodo Community High School, and Orimedu Community High School. The initiative marks another milestone in Hon. Olowa’s vision of promoting digital education and equipping students for future challenges.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Olowa emphasized the transformative power of technology in modern education. He said, “The importance of technology cannot be overstated.
It opens doors to a vast reservoir of knowledge, encourages innovative thinking, and fosters creativity among our youths. These tablets will not only facilitate learning but also help bridge the educational gap that exists in many communities.”
He further highlighted the positive results of the council’s ongoing partnership with Pan Atlantic University. “Pan Atlantic University gave 23 of our youths 98 percent scholarships, and our administration took up the remaining two percent to make it a full 100 percent scholarship.

It is because of this robust partnership that 120 students of Ibeju-Lekki receive tutoring in science-related subjects at the university every Saturday,” he explained.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Hon. Olowa urged them to embrace the opportunity with seriousness and determination. “The world is changing rapidly, and the knowledge and skills you acquire today will shape your tomorrow.
Use these tablets wisely, engage with the content, and push the boundaries of your understanding. Remember, you are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers. The sky is not your limit; it is the beginning,” he advised.
He also expressed appreciation to the management of Pan Atlantic University and the Mastercard Foundation for their continued collaboration and support in advancing educational development in Ibeju-Lekki.
Dignitaries at the event included the Onibeju of Ibeju Land, HRM Oba Waliu Rasak Olasunkanmi, and the Tutor General/Permanent Secretary, Education District III, Dr. (Mrs.) Olufunke Idowu Oyetola, represented by Mrs. Ajibola Morebise. Both commended the initiative and encouraged students to make good use of the devices.
The Vice-Chancellor of Pan Atlantic University, represented by the Director of Community Relations, Mr. Frank Wiggle, revealed that the distribution of the devices was done on behalf of the Mastercard Foundation to help boost students’ digital literacy and prepare them for post-secondary education.
