Demonstrators passionately explained their reasons for joining the rally. A man named Ed stated he fears history repeating itself, warning that the country is headed down a “slippery slope” and risks becoming one of the “shithole countries” Trump once criticized.

Another protester, Brad, called the government “fascist” and accused Trump of standing for “hate” and everything against the Constitution. A woman named Nicole shared her frustration, worrying about her family’s health insurance cancellation while the government spent money on military actions off the coast of Venezuela and on ICE enforcement.
Laura, traveling from Seattle, said she felt compelled to attend because she fears Trump could invalidate her same-sex marriage, arguing that people must “collectively” voice their disapproval.

The “No Kings” movement, which opposes the idea that Trump has overstepped his authority, gained national attention earlier in the year. The Trump administration quickly pushed back on the message. President Trump denied the label, stating, “I’m not a king.”
